Longevity in Massage Therapy: Workshops with Aneta Dang

I spent years working as a massage therapist in Alberta and an A.R.T.® provider, loving every moment of helping clients move better and feel better. But like many bodywork practitioners, I hit a wall.

Long hours on my feet, repetitive movements, and constant pressure to deliver results took a toll. My wrists ached, shoulders tightened, and fatigue started to set in. I loved my work, but if I kept going the way I was, massage burnout was inevitable.

That’s when I realized: longevity isn’t just about passion — it’s about strategy.

Now, I teach hands-on workshops for massage therapists and students in Alberta. My goal is simple: help bodywork professionals stay strong, energized, and keep doing the work they love — for decades, not just years.

Protect Your Body While Doing Massage Therapy

Learn massage techniques and body mechanics strategies to:

  • Move smarter and reduce strain on your hands, wrists, and shoulders

  • Apply pressure efficiently without burning out

  • Deliver powerful results to every client

 Work Smarter, Not Harder

Structure sessions, optimize massage therapy workflow, and adopt movement habits that keep your bodywork career sustainable. Every movement counts — without sacrificing your health.

Build Habits That Last

Prevent repetitive strain injuries (RSI) and fatigue with routines and strategies designed for longevity. Maintain energy, focus, and passion for your massage therapy practice over the long haul.

An estimated 4.27 million Canadians aged 12 or older suffered an injury severe enough to limit their usual activities in 2009–2010 (Appendix 1). This represents 15% of the population in this age range, up from 13% in 2001 – Statistics Canada http://www.statcan.gc.ca/pub/82-624-x/2011001/article/11506-eng.htm

Who These Workshops Are For

  • Massage therapists and manual therapy practitioners

  • Bodywork practitioners in any field

  • Anyone struggling with repetitive strain, fatigue, or massage career burnout

  • Massage students in Alberta preparing for a long, sustainable career

Why It Matters

Massage and bodywork can be physically demanding. Without proper techniques and habits, even the most passionate practitioners risk injury and burnout. My workshops teach you to keep your hands, body, and career healthy — so you can enjoy a fulfilling, sustainable massage therapy practice for years to come.
